To move EasyCopy from one server to another you may want to transfer your defined printers from the old installation to the new one.

In order to do this the same queues must in general be available on the new server that were available on the old server.

If that is the case you may after installing EasyCopy for the new server copy the contents of the ‘old_EasyCopy_dir’/printers to ‘new_EasyCopyDir’/printers.

You must be prepared that the transition may not be fully automatic and you may be prepared to hand edit the printer files after moving them (the files are text files so simple changes may be done in a standard editor.

We do not support/recommend the above procedure – and in case the newly created printer definitions do not work we recommend to remove the printer files and define new printers.
