Computer and processor:
x64 processor

We recommend a newer processor, 2 GHz or faster, with 4 cores or more.

Memory (RAM):
Minimum 8 GB RAM. We recommend 16 GB or more.

Hard Disk:
10 GB available (600 MB for installation, the rest needed for temporary disk space to run properly).

We recommend 50 GB or more.

Display:
1024 x 768 resolution monitor. We recommend 1920 x 1080 or higher.

Operating System:
The EasyCopy products runs on 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.

Virtual Machines
EasyCopy, EasyCore and EasyPlot can be installed and run on a virtual machine.

A License Server for EasyCopy, EasyPlot and EasyCore must have a static IP address.

EasyCopy products also supports automatic decompression of common compressed files (.Z, .gz, .zip). Additional filters can be installed to support import of other formats.

PostScript, PDF and Text Files
EasyCopy Products imports these files by means of Ghostscript (installed with the product) and converts them to any of the supported image formats.

With EasyCopy Graphics Suite you can convert vector files (CGM, EMF, EMZ, SVG, WMF) to other vector formats(CGM, EMF, EMZ, PS, PDF, SVG, WMF) and even edit the files prior to the conversion.

Custom Filters
EasyCopy Gold can be extended with custom filters to implement support of additional image formats.

Multipage
EasyCopy Gold supports multiple pages in PDF, PostScript, and TIFF files.

You have access to the EasyCopy Printers from EasyCopy Graphics Suite and EasyPlot on Linux and Windows and for EasyCore on Windows.

The 'Shrink Width - Keep Length' option is developed specially for these log printers, to meet the need for fitting the width to 11",17" etc. keep the important metric in the length.

The 'paneling' option secures 1:1 plotting and the Adapted Page Size for all roll devices secures the right page size for plotting without having to struggle with custom page. size for each plot - the file size becomes THE page size for printing.

In addition to the rich selection of optimized drivers for popular printers the EasyCopy Products includes generic drivers for PostScript, PCL, RTL, and CGM.

EasyCopy products prints image files like TIFF and JPEG, vector graphics files like CGM, PostScript files, and captured screen images. The Graphical User Interface is intuitive and makes it easy for the user to specify printer setup, page layout, and rendering options.

Visualizing core and outcrop analysis is an essential task for most geologists. It is often the first and crucial step for the integration of sedimentological information with geophysical logging and seismic data in a core-to-seismic workflow. We are therefore happy to train our students in this important skill already at the BSc-level using EasyCore and EasyCopy. One of the benefits is that they are able to use the software for their own thesis work under an academic license agreement. This way all the data acquired by different student projects can be archived and plotted following standardized criteria.
